They Draw & Travel

Last week I was super excited to get an email from Robert from the They Draw & Travel team (related to the illustrated recipes of They Draw & Cook), and I thought it'd be the perfect way to start the week. The project invites illustrators of all types, from doodlers to professionals to submit a map of anywhere showcasing their favorite local places and hangouts. Each map reflects a style of its own, and together they create a wonderful collection of places to go and dream about around the world. There's a great world google map that marks all of the featured maps, making it easy to shop by location, making it the perfect tool to help plan your next trip. They Draw & Travel is hosting a "Marvelous Map" competition with $2,000 in prizes (not to mention great exposure). I'm kind of disappointed Paris isn't represented yet, so we'll have to remedy that soon!

Boarding Pass is still on hiatus, but stay tuned tomorrow for a very special project exploring Paris (with the help of some great bloggers) while I'm off galavanting in the U.S.!
