Surprise! I'm in America! For the past couple days I've been on a press trip to
Williamsburg, Virginia. Despite having moved around a bunch, when people ask where I'm from Virginia is my simple answer. But can you believe I'd never been to Williamsburg before? Living abroad makes it special too that I've had the chance to look inside history and the making of my homeland. Yesterday was a full day with a visit to
Colonial Williamsburg,
Historic Jamestowne and the
Jamestown Settlement, and
Yorktown. This is just a sneak peek of what's to come next week, but wanted to share a little glimpse of my adventures. It's been so fun seeing history come alive!

lovely photos. looking forward to see the rest :) oh and curious about the story behind the 14 years of yarn colouring
ReplyDeleteI love Williamsburg. I went to college at William and Mary. At the time, it felt like a tiny town with nothing to do, but now I really miss it.
ReplyDeleteLove the composition of these photos, Anne! They almost make me want to visit Williamsburg!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the US of A.
What a great opportunity to visit your home state. I think you've "made it" as a travel blogger when you get offered press trips. Congrats! :) Also, I love the hats with the long ribbons-so girly and fun. I would have begged my mom for one when I was a little girl.
ReplyDeletei've never had the chance to explore the colonial states and see all the old history. you bring a lot of life into it!!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are great, Anne! I can't wait for your recap posts. I had so much fun hanging out with you in VA. I hope I get to see you again soon.
