I've been looking for an excuse to beef up my Illustrator skills for awhile now (I may be a designer, but I have a fear of drawing). So from time to time I thought it'd be fun to illustrate some of my favorite French words or phrases in a simple visual way that doesn't need a lot of explanation. First up: le trombone!
Love this and will try to remember some of your French vocab! If you ever have a question with illustrator, just email me ;)!! (theresa@sister-mag.com) ...
ReplyDeleteOh and have you tried the tutorials over at http://vector.tutsplus.com/ - there are a lot of very fun and free ones!
This is great, Theresa! Thank you! Look forward to meeting you next month!

Me too!! Can't wait for "The hive" (although I first have to finish issue 2 of sisterMAG, so there's a lot of work between me now and The Hive *hehe*). It is silly but I actually remembered "le trombone" all day and felt happy about it!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely evening. Yours, Thea
I love the sound of that word:) Everything sounds so much more snazzy in French. Have a great one. xo
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute. What a fun idea. Can't wait to see which other ones you choose!
ReplyDeleteWe call it clip in Spain where the words of english origin stay mainly in painfully musicless borrowed plains.
